ATB Accountancy Services Ltd was established in Girvan, South Ayrshire, in May 1999, by Gary Skilling. Gary, an Incorporated Financial Accountant, has successfully built the practice by concentrating on the delivery of a top quality, cost effective service
which fully meets the needs of his client base.
This client base now numbers just over 250, (as of March 2023), most of whom are small businesses in their own right.
The geographical spread of clients is mainly concentrated in the area from Kilmarnock in North Ayrshire, down to Stranraer & Newton Stewart in Wigtownshire. However, we also have clients who have re-located and now operate from bases in the far north of Scotland and in England.
In 2005, Gary joined "Accounts Plus", a network of independent accountants operating throughout Scotland. This forum allows members to network regularly and to discuss areas of common interest.
Gary is ably supported by a highly competent and versatile team. Kathleen is his long-suffering wife but also has vast experience in VAT and payroll issues, Stephanie is currently working her way through the AAT syllabus but has already acquired a wide range of technical accounting and taxation knowledge. Ross, the newest member of the team (joined June 2021) holds a degree in accounting, and very quickly settled in, contributing much to the ongoing success of the business. Each team member realises that in the current commercial & economic environment, clients are looking for an accountant who can be relied upon in times of uncertainty, to provide sound and sensibe advice quickly and calmly. ATB prides itself on the high levles of customer service provided.
